Colonial style wooden buildings, housing the eclectic selection of rooms and suites. The location is on the outskirts of Grand Baie, reached by a little almost deliberately pot-holed road. 60 minutes drive from the airport.
You enter through a huge wooden door into a area of total seclusion. The 27 rooms and suites are grouped around the small Coconut Grove and swimming pool. Each room has sea view. To reflect the individuality of the hotel, each room has a different design shape and theme, essentially using cool white and linen fabrics. All are air conditioned with en suite bathroom, flat screen TV, with terrace or balcony.
The Charm rooms are the introduction rate rooms and are on the compact size, whilst the larger Prestige rooms are available at a nominal supplement. There are also several Beachfront rooms and two speciality suites.
Facilities include main swimming pool, a highly acclaimed restaurant (breakfast can also be served in your room), complimentary afternoon tea, small pocket handkerchief size beach but a shuttle ferry operates regularly from the bay to the centre of Grand Baie where you have a good selection of restaurants, plus several expansive beaches. A self drive car will add to your holiday enjoyment and flexibility, particularly in this area where you have a number of alternative restaurants in the Grand Baie and Troux Au Biche areas, interesting sightseeing and boutique shopping. There are several golf courses. The island capital Port Louis has a ramshackle charm, attractive water front and bustling street markets and is about 30 minutes driving away.
